The battle of Lexington and Concord were fought on April 19, 1775. This was the first battle of the American Revolution. This battle was fought on the Providence of Massachusetts Bay, between the two cities of Lexington and Concord. The first shot taken, is famously known as the "Shot Heard Round the World" but it is unknown who fired the first shot. There were only 500 untrained militia men fighting for the colonies, compared to the 1,700 British troops. The British troops eventually fell back marking the end of the first battle.
The battle of Lexington and Concord was a complete disaster! I can't believe the British backed down so easily, they didn't even act like their trained troops! I woke up early this morning to a loud shot, the newspapers eventually called it the "Shot Heard Round the World". I knew the colonists were going to revolt, they have no respect towards the people who protect and provide for them everyday! After The Boston Tea Party, tensions rose and more revolts occurred. I was afraid of this happening, The American Revolution.
